The First Expedition

One of the earliest representations of Tarogramma. Sketched by a sailor who was part of the Lazarus expedition, a scientific expedition into the Antarctic. The sailor created this image as he waited for a group who sailed out to discover the mysterious objects. The sailors never returned but many artefacts were discovered on the wrecks of their vessels. Much of what we first learnt about Tarogramma comes from this discovery.
