View of Tarogramma from the mountains
TARO020
Charcoal and pastel on paper
This image was drawn from memory by a member of a climbing group. He recounts that - ‘...When the mist cleared, we were confronted by a massive wall of yellow. It sliced right through the valley and it’s height seemed to go on forever. It seemed completely alien’. The walker has no recollections beyond this point, his memory only returning once he was at the base of the mountain. One of the members of the group never returned from the trip and, despite several search parties being sent, has not been heard from since.
